The Corkscrew drops five and a half stories between Turns 8 and 8A, blind over the crest, and it rewards commitment the way few corners on earth do. The rest of the lap is quietly brutal too: long downhill braking zones that cook pads and boil fluid, and cold Monterey mornings that keep grip low until the sun does its work. This is an advanced circuit that punishes the underprepared car.
